comes to your genealogical research in Bukovina.

1. Please check the obituaries of "Der Tag" for the year 1932 at:

Look for the obituary for Josef Glaser, dated 01.06.1932, which reads as
follows:

<D> "Todesfall. Im Alter von 57 Jahren starb in Zastavna der Advokat Josef
Glaser. Der Verstorbene, eine Leuchte der Zastavner Gesellschaft erfreute
sich eines großen Ansehens, was die ungemeine große Beteiligung am
Leichenbegängnis, welches am 23. d. dortselbst stattfand, bewies."

<EN> "Death case. The lawyer Josef Glaser deceased in Zastavna at the age of
57 years. The decedent was a shining example for the Zastavna society and
enjoyed a distinguished position, evidenced by the enormous participation to
the funeral, which took place there [in Zastavna] on the 23rd."

Jay, is that your great-great grandfather, who deceased in Zastavna (!!!) in
May 1932?
