Hi Gaby,
as a reply to the remembering about Fokschaner and Jaglom
Foschaner was a mythus in Czernowitz...in my childhood , my farher spoke
about the big success of this lawyer, but they were not our society,
another social circle...
About Raya Jaglom, nee Choirisch...the family, like others riche families,
f.i. Maranz, who became manager of the sugar-factory Zuczka, ing Gerner, his

brother in law, Grupan, and others, were emigrants from Russia, they fled
during the revolution through Bessarabia to Czernowith. Their children, very

educated were in my age than, so Liza Maranz and Nusia Gerner, Raya Grupan,
Raya Choirish, were in our dancing course at Boris, came to the parties of
the Jewish students organisations, Hasmonea, Hebronia...They were very
beautiful girls, among them I must remember also Hedy Luttinger, the
daughter of Hollands Consul Luttinger, Ilse Rubel...not russian emigrants...
About Raya Jaglom, may be some months younger than me...We were very good
friends...she left Cz.before the war, I did not see her after 1936, I went
for studiee abroad, so I heard only by the JPA (Jewish Plottke Agency), that

she met in Bukarest Yaglom, married, or in Palestin? than after the war they

went to Switzerland...When we arrived in Israel in 1982 I worked at the
WIZO, Haifa. One day told me our manager that she is going to Internetional
Meeting in Duesseldorf,,,Hedy Hernstein was the president for Germany, Raya
Jaglom is World President...I hdr a picture of Raya from an excursion in at
Cacina, with a cow...(I was ever a young goose, now I am an old one)So I
wrote some words on a visitcard, put the photo in an envelope and gave it to

the lady, for Raya... When she came back she told me:Hedy, your friend Raya
read the massage, looked on the photo, called her daughter to show it, and
told me thanks,,that's all...there was my adress, I never got an answer...
5 years ago, at the 90th.birthday party of my classmaTE AND FRIEND kAETHE
kRAUTHAMMER IN aBU-gOSH(jERUSALEM) I MET DITA REIFER-jAGLOM, THE SISTER IN
LAW OF RAYA, I KNEW HER 75 YEARS AGO, I asked her about Raya..she is well,
widow and is living in Geneva..
(I think Mimi is related to Dita,The daughter of Dr.Manfred Reifer, may be
she knows more)
If you are interested about other beauties from Cz, ask me...
Happy New Year, Prosit Neujahr 2013...
Hedwig
