Dear Edgar, Bruce and Jerome,
The work you all do to keep us informed and supplied
with one fascinating piece of news after another, pictures, travelogues,
memories, anecdotes and just making it possible for all
of us to connect with one another is incredible and very,
very much appreciated!
Enormous thanks to all of you for all that you do.
Happy New Year to all,
Merle Kastner

Subject: [Cz-L] Happy New Year - ehpes.com Blog Got a Facelift!
Happy New Year, Czernowitzers, dear friends...
On behalf of your Ehpes Cyberspace Team I'd like to announce that our = your
ehpes.com Blog, as always available at
got a facelift in order to keep up with the times. What's new? Beside an
updated WordPress software, offering more flexibility/security, we've got a
brand new header and a redesigned side bar. Here you'll find the archives
and links to Ehpes, to Jewish Bukovina genealogical sources, as well as new
Tag Cloud. This is the result of a review process, categorizing and tagging
all 230 posts, posted between July 2009 and December 2012.
Now it's up to you, dear friends, to share with all of us your Czernowitz -
Sadagora - Bukovina - experience by posting to the List and/or to our
revitalized Blog. I'm making a fresh start by posting James Baker's travel
log on his journey "In The Bukowina" a century ago, i. e. in 1913:
http://ehpes.com/blog1/2013/01/01/in-the-bukowina-a-century-ago-by-james-baker/
Join me and James Baker, Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, Fellow of
the Royal Historical Society, Knight of the Imperial Order Francis Joseph I,
Corresponding Member of the Royal Academy of Arts Madrid, for a walk through
ancient Czernowitz, from Austriaplatz to Volksgarten and let us admire in
between
"the new Savings Bank, built in the latest Secession style, and elaborately
fitted up with most modern sanitation, ladies and gentlemen’s waiting and
toilette rooms."
Enjoy the redesigned Blog, our inauguration posting and have Happy New Year!
