OK, so now we started with insults.
My grandmother was able to stay in her house, was not evacuated to the
ghetto, was able to keep her business in the Kuczurmarerstrasse and did not
have to wear the yellow star and all it took was a very heavy gold chain
which she gave to a Czernowitzer official.
My father with his lofty, K.u.K principals would not do it, he kept on
saying that his high position which I have no idea what it was, will save
us. Well it did not and we ended up in Transnitria where I lost my mother.
He was “el a fost un jidan prost fără creier”. (He was a stupid dirty Jew
with no brains).
