Dear CZer's- I have done my best to stick to my late husband, Rudy's
words when I comment here. I always remember that I was not there
when.... However, I do want to say today that when I sit on
Russischegasse where nine-year-old Rudy played on the cobblestoned
streets with his schmattaball, before they shipped him to Transnystria,
I can feel his spirit. I am not one of those 'new age' people but I can
feel other spirits there too. As a budding student of Quantum Physics
I do sometimes think that matter/people can be gone but that their
energies can remain, sometimes in specific locales (see Einsteins's
Theory of Relativity for starters.) I offer these words (for whatever
they are worth) as a form of respect and acknowledgment to those
survivors and list members who are struuggling with the concept of a
nation's guilt and responsbility for the horrors that once occurred
there. Shalom, Cora
