In the valley of the Prut lies the town of Chernivtsi.
 It has some 300,000 inhabitants.
1500 of them Jews - not confirmed. Cant they count or what ?
Its historical old town is in the center .
Here lived the Jews - some 50,000 out of 120,000 .
They called it Czernowitz although the name was Cernauti.
   It was the Rumanian name.
It came with the Rumanian annexation considered
     a jest of history .
They still call it Czernowitz - those who lived there.
      They always will.
     Semper Fidelis.
