In front of the Government building the pavement was of wood.
  The cobbles were wooden.
   The click- clack of horse hooves would suddenly go silent.
   Not to interfere with the important decisions to be taken inside.
    Here Calotescu issued his decrees and the meeting with
    Popovici took place.
