Czernowitz was the home of German writing Jewish poets.
World famous .
Jewish writers, masters of the German language.
Due to this, only this, Czernowitz is presented as a Metropole of
Poetry.
Do they understand this ?
How many times was the word " Jewish" mentioned in the lectures ?
In the Czernowitz Kultur Metropole where the Holy Jewish Temple
is misused on a daily basis.
Young people are interested in literature and languages.
Are they also interested in the history of Czernowitzer Jews who
produced
these masters of the German language ?

Subject: [Cz-L] Paul-Celan-Literaturzentrum
Meridian-Poesie-Festival: crowds of people attend the performances.
Especially young people are interested in literature and languages.
Today an idea will be presented that has already found its room: on the
corner former Herrenstraße/ Maria-Theresia-Straße the
Paul-Celan-Literature-Centre will be opened to public for the first time:
literature (re)presenting Bukowinian literature. Mostly bilingual translated
into Ukranian by Professor Dr. Peter Rychlo.
Yesterday there was a touching performance in the Jewish Museum: Nelly Sachs
and Selma Meerbaum-Eisinger performed in lyrics and music. The huge hall
packed full with young people again: after the performance a young Ukranian
man rushed onto the stage and hugged the actress - so touched he was by the
poems and the (hi)story behind.
And thank you to Edgar for having transported the idea of GedankenD-A-CH:
although I had a tour through university with Dr. Oxana Matijuck (who starts
her half-year-scholarship in Berlin in October) I did not get the idea of
the meaning of "d-a-ch" = the roof under which German languages are
sheltered.
Kind regards
Marion
