Subject: [Cz-L] International Conference in Czernowitz: Literature -
Culture - Civil Society
Czernowitzers...
I'd like to draw your attention to the International Conference
"Literature • Culture • Civil Society", which will take place in Czernowitz
between 16.10.2013 - 20.10.2103.
At a first glance the focus of the conference on "The Habsburgs Imprint on
the Educational System in Bukovina and the Neighboring Regions between
1848 - 1940" sounds a bit too academic. On the other hand, the highly gifted
scientific director and organizer of the conference
Dr. Markus Winkler - German Studies Al. I. Cuza University Iasi
and his dedicated organizing team
Serhij Lukanjuk - Head of the International Relations Department at the
Czernowitz University
Dr. Oxana Matiychuk - Director of Ukrainian/German Cultural Center
"GEDANKENDACH"
Mykola Kuschnir - Director of the Czernowitz Jewish Museum
Kati Brunner - DAAD Lecturer at the Czernowitz University
succeeded to gather the "Who is Who" of the scientific research for the
Bukovina:
Kati Brunner (Czernowitz)
Andrei Corbea-Hoisie (Iasi)
Jeroen van Drunen (Amsterdam)
Ligia-Maria Fodor (Bukarest)
Benjamin Grilj (Wien)
George Gutu (Bukarest)
Mariana Hausleitner (Berlin)
Tetyana Kloubert (Augsburg)
Mykola Kuschnir (Czernowitz)
Bohdana Labinska (Kiew)
Ion Lihaciu (Iasi)
Serhij Lukanjuk (Czernowitz)
Natalia Masijan (Czernowitz)
Susanne Marten-Finnis (Portsmouth)
Ana Maria Minut (Iasi)
Peter Rychlo (Czernowitz)
Josef Sallanz (Magdeburg)
Kurt Scharr (Innsbruck)
Cristina Spinei (Iasi)
Katrin Steffen (Lüneburg)
Jan Jakub Surman (Marburg)
Constantin Ungureanu (Chisinau)
Péter Varga (Budapest)
Markus Winkler (Iasi)
This will be one of the major events in Czernowitz in 2013 and we are very
much looking forward to reading the results of this outstanding
international congress! Who knows, one or two will be favored by fortune to
be on site and/or in the attendance!
