So why on earth would Jews ever want to return to live in such appalling
conditions? It looks worse than in the Soviet times.

"Vanished Wolds" is a perfect definition for a former Jewish presence in the
Ukrainian schtetles wiped out by the Holocaust. The same fate befell the
Bessarabian, Romanian and Polish towns.

Today Jews prefer to live in the big cities and there is no way back to
places without Internet!
