Thank you Edgar for sending us this poem by Paul Celan.
I would like to make a small correction:
The meaning of "Docht" in English is "wick", like the wick of a candle.
MY translation would be:

"Let your eye, be a candle in the chamber,
Your glance, a wick,
Let me be blind enough,
To light it."
