My husband Eduard Weissmann also contributed to this programme, talking
about his life, the history of his Czernowitz Jewish family, and
playing the cello, (Kol Nidrei, Mendelssohn and other pieces)
accompanied by a pianist.
It was one of the most successful programmes of the year, aired late at
night. It had the highest percent of listeners (ca. 2 million) in the
history of this famous radio features, and Deutschland Radio broadcast
it again later.
