as usual - a very interesting article- this one: Concerning "bokser". A tiny correction might be helpful:
The German word for mentioned St. John's tree is "Johannisbrot-Baum". Not Johannisbraut-Baum. St. John needed bread more than a bride. "Brot" feeds, a "Braut" is a bride. Charming are both.
