An unbelievable coincidence?
In the 18th century, even the early 19th century,
photography had as yet not been invented.
But the resemblance of this wall painting to a view of Jerusalem
is too close to be just a coincidence.
There must have been travelers to the holy land,
who brought back drawings, from which were made lithographs,
one of which served as an inspiration for the painting in the
"Groisse Shill".
Even before Email, information traveled around the world!
Does anyone have accurate information about the building of the
Groisse Shill?
