Hy Andy,
many, many thanks for your congratulations,As you know, in our old
Czernowitz we said "Lieber spaeter, als gar nicht" (better later, tnan no
onr) As you know, Methusalem has probably my age, because we do not know
how long was a year..
And for the many languages, no, I am understanding only 7, speaking 5, but
you forgot your Hungarian? Nem tudom maghyary..
If perhaps you will be in the first days of November in Berlin, it would be
a pleasure for me to meet you or other members of the list,
I was invited to the Inselgalerie and to the Bauhaus to present the 5.volume
of my lexicon: "Jewish Women in Visual Arts"
Bests regards
Hedwig.

Resent in plain text. Sorry. Both late and forgetful this time.

Hedwig - as Methuselah might have said, “Young lady, it won’t do to
wish you happy birthday in just one language. You are a linguist and must be
addressed in most of the languages you know. Therefore let me say:
Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag - La multi ani - Joyeux
anniversaire – Buon compleanno – Feliz cumpleanos! – from the Ukrainian
mayor of contemporary Chernivtsi: Многая Літа (Mnohaja Lita) – from members
of the Knesset: יוםהולדתשמח – from a Tahitian friend whom I told about
you: “ia oaoa oe I to oe mahana fanaura’a” and to cover everything else I
borrow from Esperanto: “Felican naskigtagon.” May you match Methuselah in
years to bring us joy with your presence for the rest of our days.
Andy Halmay
