Hardy: Seeing a photo of the license plate of gynecologist Dr. H.
Salzmann was a shock to me because I believe it belonged to my father's first
cousin Hermann Salzmann, a Czernowitz gynecologist/obstetritian who remained
in his practice through the 1940s and beyond. He was also my father Dr.
Charles Steinhauser's best friend and the two boys attended the same
Gymnasium classes until Dad's parents and siblings immigrated to the U.S. Dad
and Hermann remained close and corresponded with each other until one of them
died..
