The volunteers do not need to clean their consciences, they are all,
at the most 76 years old, the oldest among them is 13 days younger
than I.
In 1944 I was 7 years old, they were all younger, they can hardly be
blamed
for what their fathers or grandfathers may have done or for what
their countrymen did do.
