Was the family name always Schiffman? A ring of familiarity to me as a
descendant of the Schiffnagel family of Czernowitz. My grandmother (who
married a Schiffnagel 1st cousin) was a twin, a recurring theme where we
can trace at least six sets of twins, female and male in the family line.
Does anyone know if twins were a rarity or common?
