The Leo Baeck Institute's fall newsletter includes an article about our
recent survey of archival records in southern Bukovina and southern
Transylvania. You can read the online version here:

The public launch event of the online catalogue will take place on January
13th, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the Center for Jewish History (Kovno Room).
Joining me on the panel to discuss the survey project will be Dr. Leo
Spitzer and my colleague, Timothy Mendenhall. I would be delighted to meet
any of the New York list members in person!

Finally, for those Yiddishists among you, I would like to make a shameless
plug for my husband, Benjy Fox-Rosen's, CD release concert on January 15th,
2014 at 7:00 p.m. also at the Center for Jewish History (sponsored by
YIVO). His new CD entitled Tsvay Veltn/Two Worlds is a song cycle of
entirely new compositions written for the poems of Krakow poet Mordechai
