Thanks for the photo Hardy.
My family of Weisinger's are Cohen also. All of my male relatives have the hands on their headstones. The funny thing is my great grandfather (Betzalel HaCohen Weisinger) is buried in either Czernowitz or Saradoga but I haven't found out where yet. His death record shows he died in Cz in January 19, 1916 but I can't find the headstone which would tell me my gg grandfather's name. What a find that would be! As a young girl growing up my grandmother always followed the strict rules of being Orthodox even though my grandfather died in 1938.
All the Weisinger I have found in CZ are not HaCohen which surprises me! I have found a HaCohen Weisinger family in Canada and am sure we are related just haven't figured out how Their grandfather looks like my father! They were from Probuzna as well (maybe my gg father's brother or first cousin)
If anyone has an idea how I might find Zalel's headstone please help. It isn't listed an any database unless he had a different name that he was buried under.
Thanks Hardy.
