It's sad about Harry Jarvis. I got to know him last year when he
initiated correspondence and directed me to his Czernowitz family history which
can be accessed through Ehpes family histories. If his parents hadn't sent
him to
England in 1938 to live with a relative and go to school there when he was
16 because they believed war was imminent, he might have perished with
his father and sister who contracted a disease in Transnistria. You can read
about them in Ehpes under # 32: The Biography, Writings, Documents and
Photographs of Herschl Jaslowitz a.k.a. Dr. Harry Jarvis. Rest in peace,
Harry.
