[Cz-L] history

Today,3rd April, the "Daily Telegraph" newspaper, reprinted a Soviet war
communiqué dated "Monday April 3,1944". A statement by Mr.M.Molotov,Soviet
Foreign Commissar was broadcast from Moscow. He announced that the Red Army
had reached the River Pruth and crossed in several places.,and in the
Cernauti area had already captured a number of places including Novoselitsa.
However, he also said that"the entry into Romania is dictated solely by
military necessity and is in no way aimed at the integrity of Romanian
territory or the existing social order". I wonder if the current
political leadership there learned from this how to be "economical with the
truth"??? Cornel
