Hello Czernowitzers,

The online catalogue with the results of the Leo Baeck Institute's
archival survey of Jewish-related material in present day southern
Bukovina and southern Transylvania is up!

Though we only surveyed material in Romanian repositories, there were
still some documents related to Czernowitz (currently stored in
Suceava - "evacuated" there during the war). And I am sure many of you
had family members from southern Bukovina as well. To see all
Czernowitz related material, go to the Czernowitz (Chernivtsi)
Locality page and click on "Browse all."

This project has been extended for three years and though we will be
focusing on repositories in southern Transylvania in the future, we
will eventually be adding catalogue entries for documents held in
Bucharest repositories which are related to Bukovina. So keep checking
back, the catalogue should be updated around the end of each fiscal

And the field blog will be back live starting in March, when I arrive in Brasov.

Feedback on the website welcome!

Best wishes,
