Dear All,
With great sorrow, I want to let you know that Dr. Josif Bursuk, whom many
of us knew personally and others knew, because he was our link to both
Czernowitz and Chernivtsi, passed away on February 11th.
He was a "real Mensch", the like of whom there are not many.
Always willing to help, concerned for his fellow human beings and single
most supporter of the elderly and needy Jews of Chernivtsi.
May his name be for a blessing.
The funeral will be on Friday.
I asked Zoya to send me the name and address of his son who lives
in Chernivtsi. When I receive it, I will let you know, so we can all of us
send condolences to his family.
