Dear Helene,

I am sorry you felt it necessary to leave the Cz.-List.
the correspondence on this list has now for long time been about more
than genealogy.
Most of us are interested in the political, social and cultural history
of Czernowitz, as it was once and Chernivtsi as it is now.
Otherwise we would do our research on JewishGen and Ancestry.

Occasionally our correspondence strays from Czernowitz and vicinity
to the Austro-Hungarian empire, to the kingdom of Romania, or to
present day Ukraine.
As long as these seemingly extraneous topics, interests more than
just two or three
members of this list and does not go on for weeks, I believe that
they have a place
on our list.
