As far as I know, Arsenyi Yatseniuk, did not just donate the money
for the statue of Kaiser Franz-Josef. It is not as if the city of
Chernivtsi
wanted to erect this statue but had to ask Yatseniuk to pay for it.
He gave the city this statue as part of his campaign for the post of
prime-minister
and as encouragement to all the West leaning Ukrainians.
He himself is a Czernowitzer.
