During the Romanian period, the Heresculstr. school was Liceul Orthodox de fete
"Elena Doamna" and not open to Jewish girls. However, it also included
an elementary school, open to everybody which I attended until 1940.
More recently, it had become a school with English language instruction.

This school had been the Liceul Ortodox de Fete "Elena Doamna". At the beginning of the second soviet period I attended for a short time the yiddish school No. 18 (formerly the Liceul Ortodox de Baieti). During the romanian period I attended the Liceul Aron Pumnul.
