 Yosi is right. Everything I know about Vapnyarka, I have
 learned from Leo's
 detailed description of the camp and its history in the book
 "Ghosts of
 Home" by Marianne Hirsch and Leo Spitzer (2010). Yes, it was
 a prison-camp
 for the "enemies of the [ Rumanian] state". Guess what? "The
 vast majority
 of the inmates where Jews" , from all Romania . There were
 also many from
 Czernowitz ( Dr.Arthur Kessler and Dr.Moritz, for example).
 
 Sally Abramovici ( nee Buium) lived a full and happy life.
 She died in
 Israel some years ago, aged 91.
 She never told her daughter who the mysterious Mishu was.
 The full name -
 Mishu Wolf - was disclosed only now.
 
 That's why I ask again: maybe someone on this List can tell
 us where he was
 coming from?
 
 Sally was from Botoshani - not far from Bukovina.
