Dear friends,
I just received notification of this new research resource.
Thanks to Rosanne Leeson of RomaniaSIG (Special
Interest Group) for sending it.

The results of an extensive survey of Jewish records in Romanian
archives are now searchable in an online catalog for the first time.
In 2013, Leo Baeck Institute archivists conducted a systematic
inventory of Romanian archival holdings related to
  ** German-speaking Jewish communities **
in Southern Bukovina and Southern Transylvania.
The online catalog is at: jbat.lbi.org (do not prepend www to this URL)
It was unveiled at Leo Baeck Institute on January 13, 2014.
The article and new searchable database lead researchers to the
location and content of about 600 archival items related to Jewish
life, which are housed in various institutions throughout the region.
