Dear David,
Was interesting to read your story, because I was one of the youngsters on Medinat Hayehudim, but came (from Craiova) with Gordonia-Maccabi Hatzair, while my younger cousin was amongst those who were sent to the Appledorn camp, several months earlier
. If you were on Medinat Hayehudim, you surely recall the Shaliah of Hanoar Hatzioni, who welcomed you in Cyprus on Succot 1947, my other cousin - Maiku Orenstein. I suppose you also spent the two winter months - November-December in camp no. 65.
