The first house on Ruska str was No 2.
It was corner Ringplatz and housed a bodega.
Bodegas were wine cellars were you could have wines and beer and vodka.
The wine was mixed with soda water , Rumanian style, to make shpritz.
 You could also have salads of all sorts of Delicatessen.
  On the Ruska side of the house was a show box with two empty wine bottles
and a soda bottle.
 In 1940 the bodega closed and stayed closed until we left.
  The show box interior accumulated dust ,the glass got dirty.
 Spiders and other vermin found shelter in the box.
  Soon the box was filled with little vermin.
   The last time I saw it wasfrom the truck which took us to the border ,as
it turned left into the Rathausstrasse
