Hi All,

I just joined your group, having found you online while doing some genealogy
research. This was an exciting find as my father was born in Czernowitz
(1911), but moved with his family to Vienna, where he lived until 1938. The
surname I am researching is, Heilpern. I know very little about my paternal
grandparents (and back further) as his father abandoned the family when my
father was 3, and his mother died before I was born. It is only in recent
years, as more has been digitalized and placed online, that I discovered my
paternal grandfather had moved to New York!

It is my hope to learn much more, and to someday visit Czernowitz. I would
be very interested in chatting with those who may have traveled there, to
better enhance my trip planning/preparation. Also, if anyone else is
researching the "Heilperns" I would like to correspond with them as well.

I look forward to being a part of this group and sharing common interests
and information in this area.
