Besides being today's "dame" of the Israeli Theatre and besides meeting her in local shops (she too lives here in Givatayim), there is plenty to write about her, but it will be easier if you just google Lia Koening and you will find a number of lengthy items about her and her career and achievements. We need to just take into account that her period in Czernowitz was not very long - she survived the Shoa by escaping with the retreating Soviets in 1941 from Czernowitz to Tashkent.
