[Cz-L] Romanian

Romanian was our state language from the 1918 annex.
 The Rumanians hated us historically and we didnt love them either.
  We didnt know Rumanian, in school we learned.
   We read Rumanian quite well but speaking was leaky.
   In the dominant Rumanian South Bukovina , Rumanian
   was more in use.
     After repatriation we came to Rumania and the younger
  picked up Rumanian.
     Whatmore a new generation of rumanian- born came into
 being whose native language was Rumanian.
   What remained ? The typical Czernowitzer accent carried over
  to all languages where our people came to be.
   I speak of the majority .
   I remember taking a 5th Ave bus in New York and oveheard
    a discussion of two elderly in the back seat.
    Before getting off I turned to them and said:
     "Czernowitz , Morariogasse - East side. "
     They were astounded and just asked: "Wie asoy ?"
