Hardy and all Czernowitzers,

It is more efficient to clear adjacent areas of the cemetery,
than to clear one area here and one area there. Many of the trees,
bushes and vines which grow in the cemetery spread from their roots,
which means that if an area is cleared and within 3 or 4 meters from it,
there is an area which has not been cleared, the roots from plants
in the not cleared area will grow shoots in the cleared area.
Georg Goosman and I have also identified trees and vines which are
most invasive
and these should be cut down and their stumps treated with herbicides
first.
In addition, the volunteers from ASF and possibly also those from SVIT
prefer to continue their work in adjacent areas.
I have already discussed it with the official of the city government
of Vienna,
and I will discuss it with ASF and SVIT and then I will write to
Yakov Schwarzman
and advise him which areas of the cemetery should be cleared by the
workers
hired for the project financed by the city of Vienna.

I will let you know more as the decisions are made.

Mimi
