To add to what I wrote previously about the probable date of the
dissolution
of the Czernowitz ghetto, I would like to add that the dissolution of
the ghetto
did not mean that the deportations to Transnistria stopped at the
same time.
More deportations of Czernowitz Jews occurred on June 7, June 15 and
June 29 of 1942.
Governor Calotescu wanted to deport the 4000 Jews who had received
the later Popovici authorizations in November 1941 and he succeeded.
