RE: [Cz-L] Czernowitz Staatsgymnasium photos - pre WWI

Thank you very much, Ann, for sharing. My great-uncle Sinai Burger is
listed among the students as a 24 year old law student from Rohozna.

He is mentioned in the Sadagora Yizkor book
(http://www.jewishgen.org/yizkor/bukowinabook/buk2_098.html) as a Zionist
activist. In 1921 he emigrated with his wife Mindel (Hirsch), their
daughter Estelle (b. 1919), his parents Chaskel and Frieda Burger, and his
brother Abraham. On arrival at Ellis Island, New York, he gave his
profession as clerk. He settled with his wife and daughter in the Bronx,
New York, where he ran a pharmacy, while the other family members settled in
Chicago. They had a daughter Marion in 1928. Sinai Burger died in 1940. If
by chance anyone has information about Sinai Burger's family, please let me
know.
