A Weidel in Yiddish is a Schwanz in German and in Czernowitz meant a
dumbhead.
  In the Rumanian era : " Schwanzescu ".
In English it means a tail .
  Why was Franzjoseph called Kire Weidel we must ask Sholem Aleichem.
    Its in his books-
     Slang.
