Kudos to Edgar!
I just came back from vacation. You manage to surprise me every time.
Editing was done with great skill. Publication gives an interesting aspect
on the statistics, demographics of the area and ethnicity. In addition, 453
communities were identified according to the GPS points.
These data were taken from the family questionnaire, which was supposed to
give the authorities the real situation of Romanization of non Romanian
population. Questionnaire asked family members of their religious
affiliation and primary language. In addition, the census noted the names
of the parents of the couple and their place of birth. Sometimes it came up
to a third generation (Grandma and Grandpa).
It is very important to genealogical research because:
First World War was very tragic for the towns of Bukovina, which itself became
the front. In fact, in most of them the 19th century BMD records did not
survive. 1930 Census compensates for the lost records.
I do not have an accurate picture which of the questionnaires and in which
communities survived. But it is known that the Czernowitz Census
questionnaires has survived.

*Best regards*
