[Cz-L] German link

In old Czernowitz :
Speaking German didnt make you rich.
  But being rich made you speak German.
   The richer you were the better your German.
     You could even quote Kant and Nietsche .
   And wear a monocle. And get a twitch in your left eye.
     And check your pocket Anker watch every five minutes.
     For people to to get yellow of envy.

    If you lost your money , this was reversible.
    Soon you spoke Yiddish fluently.
    As before.
  Even quote Sholem Aleichem.
      Because the Yiddish was always there , well preserved.
    In the back of of the brain. In the Jewish lobe.
       You could even be a Gabe in the Shil.
