Hi all! For those who read German...have just acquired "Beschreibung der
Bukowina"...which is a reprint of the report by Gabriel Splenyi von
Mihaldy...the General in command of the Austrian units that marched into
Czernowitz in 1774. Utterly fascinating. It even tells you which Infantry
and Cavalry units were there!! The book can be ordered from an English
bookshop called "Wordery"..you can find them on Google! Cornel
