David Weiner's song is so terribly sad. Last Sunday we had the stone
put on my mother' grave and so many thoughts revolve around her
memory. . A mother cannot be replaced and our sympathy goes out to
David's fate.
It is a great idea to offer this song to Yad Vashem, and maybe through
them to find the author, unless it was passed on verbally from
generation to generation. Thank you Mimi for the translation.

Thank you also Mark Wiznizer for informing us about the film on Curacao,
an island I visited several times when my aunt was still alive. I
remember talking to Lucca about this island she was there as a child and
had loved it. In her paintings she caught the light of the island, the
blue skies, the scintillating sea...

By the way Hardy, as you know, Rathenau, a brilliant mind, who rose to
the highest ranks as Minister for External Affairs, was assassinated for
political and antisemitic reasons. Don't know which came first. The
memorial stone is not far from where we live.
