[Cz-L] Re: "A Shtetl in the Caribbean", a Roadmovie Documentary...

Director Sherman de Jesus informs me that he will try to enter Shtetl in
tge Haifa Festival.

As for the connection, there were many families in Curacao that came from
Czernowitz. Among these were Willu and Cilli Weisinger, whose wedding
photo I found on Ehpes. And many members of the extensive Faerman and hiis
sis, Some moved on, like Lucca Ginsburg. And a majority of our community
came from Bukovina or Galicia, among whom were the Seibalds, the first to
land there, from Snyatin, which is the nearest town to Vaskiivtsi, across
the Cheremosz.
