Julo...it may have slipped your notice,but Ukraine has no Communist rulers.
In fact the communist party was wiped out in the recent election. I suggest

A very often made argument. Unfortunately it doesn't mean too much.
In Western countries those that are not voting for anti-semitic and
xenophobic parties hold (in general) moderate views.
In Eastern Europe this is not the case (look at opinion polls, talkbacks
etc. in any of the former East Block countries).
Anti-semitism and xenophobia where practised and hidden by the communist
rulers so people are aware of what they can publicly express and what they
should not (and that includes voting).
