I know a version of this song, which does not include the last part
as sent to us by Paul Heger, the part about cursing the train
or the locomotive, so it will not be able to whistle or be driven.
Instead it starts with words about a philosopher who supposedly
"oisgetracht" (invented) the locomotive.
Does anyone remember this version?
