As told before ,we found shelter in the
Jewish hospital that had a special protective
status . The didn't touch it .
One day a mental case was brought in,
a male around 40 , good looking, but
completely nuts.
He was put in a private cellar room with
a window to the yard.
He was educated and read Christian religious
books.
A nice fellow.
His care was assigned to a nurse who was a spinster around 50 , educated ,
musical and man- hungry.
A perfect match.
We later found that she also
played the piano and sing German
cabaret songs with double meanings that
we, the young, were not allowed to hear.
And if we heard ,we didn't understand.
