Hardy , why should one accept injustices ???Is there a nation in the world that accept injustices, I dono think so. It reminds me of a old Jewish song :"Du a chap dort a klop alles fallt doch of dein KopYiddel , yiddel misch dich nit"Translated : Here a hit , there a hit all goes on your headJew , Jew do not mix. It goes on do not complain.Maybe we should have taken out a leaf from currentaffairs in Europe where migrants complain about perceived imaginarypast injustices by murder & intimidation and we should show our outrage about past & currentinjustices instead of being civil about it. נושא: Re: [Cz-L] Book of the Month, January 2015: "ASanguine Bunch" If you're looking for Jews in Shakespeare you have to look at the richand the poor. Shylock was a caricature of the sly Jew, the Merchant of Venice(I saw at least 6 times) with different actors but most impressive waspresented by Sir Lawrence Olivier. A city gentleman who is being cheated by the"nice" Christians, taking away his daughter as well as his moneyand being mocked at the trial as well!! and what's much worse, when shown atthe Globe theatre in London a few years ago, not with Olivier, it incited an anti-Semitic demonstration!! AJew could never be right. As for money lending. Florence was built by the money-lending Medici's and their "trade mark" asmoney lenders the 3 balls are still in use today! But they were"good" Christians and one of them - to crown their power- becamePope as well. Jews lent money to aristocrats who has lost it gambling, drinkingor women but it has never been returned because, as with the "pound offlesh" in the merchant, the Jew had no court hearing. As I wrote to Jeromethe Jew was given the job as tax collector from the farmers in Poland , theygot a salary for it while the landlord incited against him.Batshewitz Singer worth reading, about Jewish life in Poland . anny On Wed, Jan 7, 2015 at 8:35 AM, Hardy Breier <hardy3_at_bezeqint.net>wrote: An old time relevant jokefrom our Bukovina :

The moderator made a funny. The moderator sees us drifting away and
Hardy has us stuck in cow dung. Very good one.
