You contact (email, phone, etc.) the company and they send
a kit with instructions. It's extremely easy - you take a cheek
swab - with a special "Q-Tip" - just touch it to the inside of your cheek,
put it into the special package they send you and send it back,
according to their instructions.
There are several options - the customer can choose which
one suits him/her and at what price.
There are other companies doing this, too,
maybe even an Israeli company.
Then you receive the results in a period of time.

Well, a large number of serious genealogists opt for DNA testing
and with surprisingly good results (and the results are confidential).
There is one company that specializes in genealogical
testing of DNA: Family Tree DNA, situated in
Houston, Texas.
