Below is Alejandro's reply to the list for those who did not read the
Blog. He is not a list member, so his reply never made through the
process. It looks like he is on the road to solving this problem. If
someone could post the Postal Address for the Archives, that would be
helpful. Also post it to the Blog as a comment please?

Hi all,
Thanks for yor answers.
I have been in touch with Austrian Embassy and I am able to start
process for recovering austrian citizenship. Besides the fact that my
grandfather was born in Czernowitz, he had a certificate stating he was
a Vienna citizen so this is what Austria Embassy accepted as a
demonstration that I am really the grand son of an Austrian and thus,
able to claim for Austrian citizenship.

I have the photo duplicate of his Reissepass.
Alex,
Do you know the mail contact or phone contact for this Archive? Maybe
they cand send me the original duplicate through post. That would be
awesome.
