After leaving Cz and crossing the Siret the
repatriates faced a new free world.
A paradise on earth.
Rumania was not the their target.
We knew the Rumanians, we were Rumanians.
Like hell we were , it was just a passage.
But where to go and how ?
The direction was West, the more the better,
To Austria for going to Italy to see
Bari and Brindisi or La Spezia to board
wrecks who took water with Royal navy escorts.
Or going to Germany's DP camps waiting for
affidavits from relatives that never came.
A life full of adventures awaited us.
Beno: You already have Affidavit ?
Salo : Not yet, I am eating later .
